Rooms are small. No elevator which makes sense. It a boat. Prepare to hear Seals the whole time. If you need perfect silence to sleep this place ain’t it for you. Fully enjoyed the experience. Beds were ok but for one night it served the purpose. Staff was super friendly. Over all a good experience and the atmosphere with old Sacramento definitely added to it. Lots cool old cars. Tons of places to go and food to eat.

We had an incredible stay at the Delta King. Knowing its history—from ferrying passengers between Sacramento and San Francisco in the 1920s to being abandoned and sinking in the San Francisco Bay before its complete restoration—gives the whole place an unmatched character that you simply won't find in a standard hotel. The location is absolutely unbeatable if you want to explore Old Sacramento. We had a river-facing room, and the views of the water, the local historic buildings, and the iconic golden Tower Bridge were great. One warning for future guests: because it is a historic boat, the floors and walls are thin, so you will definitely hear people walking around above you. Additionally, the local sea lion population that seasonally visits the river right across from the boat barks throughout the night. It can get loud, but the hotel thoughtfully provides earplugs in the room. Most importantly, every single interaction we had with the staff was positive, professional, and welcoming. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a unique, perfectly located basecamp in Sacramento.

Staff was amazing 🤩 even when I accidentally damaged a door 😂 they were so nice about it. Brandon checked us in and provided us some comedic relief and was so helpful with directing us around the boat. An experience you must have. Don’t think because this is a boat you won’t eat or sleep well.

We disired to stay in the waterfront area. Delta King was perfect. Dining/Bar very nice. Rooms are very small. Similar to a cruise ship. Very clean and operational. We definitely would return.

Loved the venue. Loved the river. Loved the sea lions. Staff were genial. Room was large enough to be more than comfortable. Had dinner outside on the deck. It was delicious. It is not a chain type hotel and that is a big part of the charm.

Great stay! The location was amazing! Room was clean and had plenty of space, especially for being on a boat. We received 2 drink vouchers for the bar. And it was really quiet, which was unexpected. There wasn't any rocking from the water, it was steady and a very pleasant experience. I would look forward to staying at the Delta King again.

We stayed here last week on 3/26/26. We loved it. It was so cool to explore old town Sacramento for the day then relax in the evening on the boat having drinks at the bar and grill while sitting outside watching the seals. We splurged and booked the captains suite since it was mine and my husband's 10 year wedding anniversary. The room so so amazing with the 2nd story look.out with the wheel. And big bathroom and private veranda to sit and relax on the river. The old timey feel of boat was cool and down on the 2nd level the had mini replicas of the boat and history of it. The experience was amazing

We took the Amtrak and walked from the station to the hotel. It is high on historic ambiance and great views. If you're tall, watch your head when you go in the rooms! You get drink vouchers for the bar, which I wish we'd checked out - they had awesome looking mocktails! And a great view of the water/city. You get to watch seals on the river pier while you eat breakfast. I suspect they might have been the reason earplugs were provided. We were riverside, and did hear some music, but it wasn't bad enough to require earplugs. Great little getaway! Staff was all very friendly, rooms were clean. The views are definitely worth having to be careful with the slanted floor when you get out of bed.
